Free Printable Pediasure Coupons: $3-$5 off plus Cheaper Alternatives
We may earn money from the companies mentioned in this post.
Got a picky eater who’s barely on the growth chart at the wellness checkups? I’ve got two. When Pediasure Grow and Gain came out a few years ago, I was so relieved. But my wallet was flabbergasted. Over $2 per 8 oz bottle?! They know they got parents over a barrel here. Luckily, there are a few ways to save money on this “special milk” as we call it in our home. Let’s start with the free printable Pediasure coupons you get for signing up for emails. The first one is for $3 off!
1. Sign up for emails to get free printable Pediasure coupons
The first thing you need to do to start saving big on Pediasure is to go here and get on the mailing list. Pediasure wants you to be a repeat customer. You are a potential customer for a while with them, and they’ll reward you with coupons to help keep you loyal. You’ll immediately get a coupon to print to take to the store. After the initial $3 off coupon, you’ll continue to receive free printable Pediasure coupons in your email, and possibly in snail mail.
2. Look to the store brands of Pediasure: Parent’s Choice and Up & Up
I know, I know. We’re dealing with picky eaters here, so we need to tread carefully.
For example, Eli only likes the strawberry and banana flavors of Pediasure and other shakes. He’ll tolerate the vanilla, but he says the chocolate is gross. So it can be a little daunting to try a store brand when you know your picky eater is already so darn finicky with flavors. Just buy one pack at a time until you know for sure your little guy/gal likes it!
The Parent’s Choice 6-pack of the pediatric drink is $8.64 $9.44 or 19.7 cents/oz. Compare that to the Pediasure Grow & Gain 6-pack price of $10.97 $11.94, or 24.9 cents/oz! BUT, with your $3 printable coupon, the Pediasure brand comes to $8.94 for a 6-pack in-store or 18.6 cents/oz.
If you’re in between coupons, the Parent’s Choice is a nice option, particularly if you buy the 16-count value pack at 19.1 cents/oz. Target also has an Up and Up pediatric shake that’s $8.89 ($8.45 if you have a Target card) per 6-pack, or 17.6 cents/oz with a Target card.
As far as a nutritional comparison, check out the Pediasure guide on the left compared to Parent’s Choice brand on the right (they’re nearly the same, with Pediasure having a bit more fat and a lot more sugar per serving):
Ratings are comparable too, as Pediasure Strawberry earns 4.5 stars out of five, and Parent’s Choice Strawberry earns 4.6.
3. No free printable Pediasure coupon? Find nearly-expired deals on Ebay
If you have an open mind regarding expiration dates, you can often find a deal on eBay! Nearly or barely-expired items are bargains on eBay, not just for pediatric drinks, but also vitamins, Abreva, and other otc medications. I just recently bought four Pediasure shake powder mixes on eBay for $35, or $8.75 per canister. They expired the previous month. I’ll use up all four before this month is over–I give two kids one serving each with dinner (they recommend twice daily, but I only do once). The price per serving here comes out to 14 cents/oz, so the best deal yet! The catch? You need to mix the powder with milk–I use whole milk–so this cost would need to be factored in as well. Plus, only one out of my two picky eaters likes the powder stuff.
4. Does your HSA or FSA cover Pediasure?
If you have a qualifying HSA or FSA account, you might be able to get reimbursed for your Pediasure from that account. This is something I’ve only recently discovered, but better late than never. Only certain listings of Pediasure show this, so I’m not sure what the qualifying factor is here. Walmart doesn’t currently have a way to pay with a health spending account card, so you’d have to purchase with regular payment and submit a claim to your insurance. Check with your insurance to see if they cover it.
5. Amazon sometimes offers Pediasure savings
What would a money-saving article be without mention of Amazon? Amazon occasionally offer pretty decent deals and coupons for Pediasure if they have any current coupons out or subscribe and save options. It’s not offered all the time, but when it is, it’s significant savings.
They’re currently offering the 3-packs of Pediasure powder for $13.97 per canister, which is the same price as Walmart.
6. Try a Yummy Pediasure alternative: Breakfast Essentials
Our latest search for more protein and fat led us to Breakfast Essential shakes. Man, these things are good! And they offer so many delicious flavors. My boys love pretty much all of them, but their favorites are Cookies ‘n Cream and the cereal flavors like Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Golden Grahams. No, this post isn’t sponsored, though it sounds like it! We are just fans.
Looking at the Breakfast Essential label on the left and Pedisure on the right, we can see that Essentials has less fat and more protein per serving.
Even my husband appreciates a light-start chocolate shake on the go with his rushed early morning routine.
Try the Cookies ‘n Cream or Golden Grahams! Bet your lil’ munchkins love it as mine do.
